Based in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, Steelehouse Productions is a collective of creative thinkers, writers, directors, animators and artisans whose talents and expertise turn great ideas into even better realities. A full-service production facility, Steelehouse Productions specializes in creative development, art direction, motion design, set production, editorial, 2D and 3D animation, and visual effects.

Steelehouse’s internships are a unique opportunity for students to work in a world-class production facility on a variety of projects. While serving as production assistants our interns get a real world picture of what an entry level position in production looks like. Whether serving as a runner, answering phones, assisting on set or shadowing one of our talented artists on a project, every day will present an opportunity to observe and participate in high-caliber production.

2D & 3D ANIMATION
Interns in this department assist our animation team as they work on all aspects of the animation process. This includes creative development and scriptwriting for animation, storyboards and animatics, character design, matte painting, and 2D flash animation. Interns will also be exposed to the entire 3D CGI pipeline including modeling, rigging, texturing, lighting, and animation for industrial or character animation projects.

MOTION DESIGN
Our motion design team specializes in crafting original art direction for show packaging, commercials, industrial projects and short films. As an intern you’ll provide support to our motion designers utilizing After Effects, Cinema 4D, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

POST PRODUCTION
Interns in this department will be stationed in the Core, the center of our production world, where they’ll do everything from assist with edits, organize footage, make dubs and work on pre and post production. Interns may also have the opportunity to assist on-set as projects arise, working with formats that may include 35mm and 16mm film and the latest high-definition acquisition tools such as the RED, Phantom HD Gold, and the Canon 5D Mark II.

MARKETING/CLIENT RELATIONS
Interns in this department will work directly with Steelehouse’s Director of Marketing assisting in all aspects of marketing from copy writing, to client database management and client care.
